Our Mission
To have an organization that is closely affiliated with both the University and the Alumni and friends of the Graduate Periodontics program. To bolster Alumni support and re-connect graduates with their colleagues while bolstering support for the longevity and sustainability of our department
Our Purpose
The purpose of the organization shall be:
A. To function as an alumni association
B. To promote the advancement of Periodontics
C. To foster loyalty to the organization
D. To provide learning opportunity through symposiums and continuing education
E. To work and ultimately function as the Alumni supportive arm of the Department of Periodontics at UTHSC Houston
Message from the Chair...
The mission of the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene to be recognized locally, nationally and internationally for innovative and contemporary didactic and clinical education curricula, cutting-edge research and scholarly activity, compassionate patient care and service to the school and the community. We aspire to be the model program for the 21st century, dedicated to advancing the periodontal health of the people of Texas, the nation and our global community and we are working on multiple fronts to reach that goal.
You are an excellent example of the type of periodontist UT Houston is honored to be associated with and I am very proud to be part of this Department. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us in the development of our Periodontics Alumni Association, one that will serve as a unifying force for bettering and nurturing the relationship between our residents, faculty, alumni and friends of the program.
